How Shared Lives Works
West Glamorgan Shared Lives matches adults with care or support needs in Neath Port Talbot and Swansea to compatible, approved carers in their local community. Carers share their home, family, and community life with the person.
We support individuals with varying needs including physical, sensory and learning impairments, mental health support needs, dementia and those experiencing difficulties with managing daily activities as they get older by matching them with a carer. Our assessed and trained carers then open their own family home to the person needing support.
The aim is to help adults with care or support needs develop and maintain their independence, build friendships, learn new skills and grow connections in their local area.
We are looking for carers throughout Neath Port Talbot and Swansea who share our values. Please get in touch today to find out more.
